Breathe in…..breathe out…..now, breathe in again…..
Spent all weekend breathing in the amazing vibes of Bonnaroo, I don’t want to waste it hurrying back to reality. It’s time to breathe out and refresh with another deep, clean breath. What a weekend! Bonnaroo is a world all its own and everyone should have the opportunity to experience the connections to other like minded individuals. Make friends, connect with people, it doesn’t matter about your age, your religion, or even your political affiliations because at Bonnaroo we are all brothers and sisters. We all have a common goal, to uphold the Bonnaroovian Code. Don’t rush back into your daily life, sit back and hold on to the positive energy you gained from Bonnaroo. And if you did have to be back at work on Monday, I hope you brought that positive energy into your workplace. We must continue to embrace and accept all for who they are.
But Bonnaroo is not about taking that energy, it is about giving it back. Come with an open mind and open heart and fill your soul, but the next step is giving it all back to others. We gained so much from the positive energy of our new friends, but our goal was to give back that energy and positive experience for everyone we encountered. To walk into a place that people are accepting of all individuals is unusual. We are older than most of the individuals at Bonnaroo, and Suzy’s handicap puts her in another realm, but we are accepted by all. Listening to a young lady pass us as we walked down the path, she said, ” You are who I want to be when I grow up, you guys are awesome” was the most amazing statement we could ever imagine.
Connect with others, share a common bond, be a part of humanity and love each other.
David, so happy your trip was all you hoped for. What a cool adventure! So proud of you for sticking to your weekly posts. Keep writing! Enid

I’ll have to walk you through my first thoughts for the book. Just starting the process of outlining the plan and structure of the book. Can’t wait to get started writing!
